ABOUT VCS

Heather Mihalek moved from Ohio to Naples in 1996 to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught in the Naples Public School system for over four years. Heather left teaching to pursue a career as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer but never dreamed she would be so fortunate as to integrate the two fields she loved most, teaching and computers.

A visual and hands-on learner, Heather started out as a networking consultant but advanced quickly in the computer industry. She soon became the IT Director for Pelican Bay Foundation. While working full time at the Foundation, Heather continued to chase the ultimate goal of owning her own computer company. Heather incorporated Virtual Computer Service in 2004.

Virtual Computer Service specializes in residential, home offices and small businesses. What makes VCS unique is the training Heather gives her clients to ensure the success of the implemented technology. Patient, loyal and committed to finding the solution that meets the needs of each client, Heather draws from her teaching experience to make her clients feel comfortable and confident while they learn to apply their new computer skills. In this way, Heather believes she has found not just her dream job, but her purpose.
